Movie that I must see:Can Dialectics break bricks?

Classified under:,

Sometimes the dialogue or narration is simply daffy: "Dialectical reason thunders in its crater." "These bastards--suppose we burnt off the hair under their arms?" In reference to a sword: "Go put away your phallic symbol." "You understand nothing, you dickbite Leninist. We're gonna fuck you up. Bamboo up the ass with red ants. And we'll burn it all up on the New Red Square." "They can't make butter from donkey piss."

It's an old black and white kung fu movie redubbed by the French with Communist undertones? Where have you been all my life, "Can Dialectics Break Bricks"?

Katamari Damacy! Katamari do your hats!

Classified under:,

You want a Katamari hat? $39.99 and it's yours.

Insert credit reviews their game of the year: Ie, Tatemasu!

Classified under:,
The game covers a fairly wide spectrum of gay fantasies, with the notable exception of effeminate men. The message is clear: if you want fags, play yaoi games! Nearly all of the characters have at least one defining sexual attribute, the kind of detail that can develop in ten years to real niche markets. I can’t wait for the game where I will discover I have 10 brothers when I used to have only 5, and I have to discover which ones appeared all of a sudden; or the one where I will become a volley ball teacher for young non-gay men whose wives just got an abortion.

After the characters are introduced in various ways, the game begins with fairly conventional situations, you learn what the guy you are aiming for likes, try to get closer to him, and eventually fuck him as much as possible. After the first scene with the boss when both characters discover that they could be more than just coworkers, the game quickly heats up to a nearly nonstop orgy during the first month and a half, as though it were trying to cover each subject as fast as possible, as if it wanted to keep the end of the game for some higher purpose.

And as matter of fact, the third month of the game has nearly no sex scenes when compared to the two other months. There is one gigantic parade of horror concentrated on one day of September, but it appears only if you tried to score Osamu, the masochistic character (you won’t get any sex scenes with him until that day where hell breaks loose, and this includes the dog).

why I can't sleep

Classified under:,
It's 4 in the morning and I can't sleep. Do you know why? It's because both of my room mates have decided that 3:00 would be a good time to have showers and play Counterstrike. I swear, the Chinese are like vampires. Sleeping all day and coming out at night to eat and play. It's crazy nuts.

An Ode To Game Players Magazine

Classified under:,,
Remember Bill Donahue? Remember Cap'n Chris Slate? Remember Gazuga and the cleansing? Apprently I'm not that only one. It's hard not to forget what Game Players magazine was like back in its heyday. They took the idea of EGM's psycho letter of the month, expanded it, and turned it into an entire magazine. Not only did it feature some of the funniest game reviews of all time (Jeff Lundrigan's "Izzy" review is the stuff of legends), but it also had a weird over the top back story that included a three eyed monkey god and the horrors of Coconut Monkey. The Game Players tribute site delves into the best years of the magazine's life as well as following up the staff telling us where they are now. If you're nostalgic for gaming's funniest mag, check it out.

Japanese Sunga

Classified under: ,, ,

In these examples of Japanese shunga we see a great variety of lovemaking techniques, situations, positions and possibilities. Whether heterosexual or homosexual, the diversity of sexual behaviors expressed within this artform offer a glimpse of the sexual freedoms available in previous eras and cultures.

Some of these scenes are infused with passion in a way unimaginable in Western art. The concentration on this pleasurable physical exercise is so intense that faces and limbs become contorted in ecstasy. Very often it seems that every object present in these scenes bristles with this sexual excitement. The bonsai trees take on the suggestion of the male’s stout penis, the silk robes repeat the curves and undulation of the female’s vagina.

Mike sent this in the mail this morning figuring that I'd like it. I did. I think that the most facinating thing about shunga is the fact that weird Japanese fetishism, such as S&M and tentacle sex were as prevalent then as they are now.

Oldboy to be released in North America this March 26th in limited theaters

Classified under:,,,

That's right, Chan-wook Park's second part of the vengence trilogy will have a limited release in North America starting this March 26th. You can check out the trailer here.

If it does play in Vancouver that weekend, I can assure you that I *will* be there. Even if it doesn't play, I still might consider heading down to Vancouver on the 26th to see the Kills (are they good) and to visit Jungwoon before she heads off to Vancouver and party with anyone that's ready willing and able.

xtop's Bible of Song X: A Quick One

Classified under:,

I received xtop's mix CD, a Bible of Song X: Quick One, in the mail today. He did a shout out ealier last month asking if anyone wanted a copy. A barman's last call with music. I, being a whore for mix CDs, sent him an e-mail with an address asking for the CD. I haven't been disapointed so far. It's the most professional mix cd that I've ever received. As you can see above, it came in a jewel case with a cover printed on hp photo paper. Incredibly smooth. The music is mixed incredibly well, barely varrying at all in terms of sound inbetween tracks. Very down tempo. The flow's great too, tracks bleeding into each other without any breaks. Hands down one of the best mix CD's that I've ever received in my life.

You can check out the track listing and commentary on tracks here. Kudos to xtop for sending something out so damn cool.

I've decided to fuck around with Flickr for the next little while. Compared to Photobucket, Flickr has much more functionality. Why's it better than photo-bucket? Bang off, flickr allows you to comment on your photos and tag them directly into technorati. Since I've been using tags for the last month, you get a nice overlap between technorati and flickr, sharing your webjunk with a larger base of people. Flickr also allows you to directly send info straight into your blog, without having you log in. I find this incredibly useful, as with photobucket, I have to play musical chairs with windows copying and pasting everything into blogger. Right now, I have my flickr set up so that I can photoblog via my camera, but we'll see if that works out. You can check out my photoset here and will be linked on my side bar in the future. Anyone out there use flickr? If so, I'd like to add you as part of my friends loops.

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

Leo-watch

Classified under:,
My new room mate is a strange one. I'm starting to think that he's a hypocondriac. When he's in the kitchen, when he cooks, he covers the hands and anything that will touch his hands with toilet paper. And then he disapears into his room chatting with his girlfriend with fish lips, leaving tissue husks everywhere, like ghost shit. He spends most of his time without pants, wearing the Chinese equivilent of hot pants. He'll pop into the living room, with his lap top webcam in my hand and interview me in from of his Chinese girlfriends. The girls giggle over digital static when I look at them speak in pseudo real-time. They're all the same. Space aged girls wearing oversized headphones.

Downtown photographs

Classified under:,
I found this plastered near Prince George's best independent bookstore. You can't see it below, but there's a part that's ripped off that concludes the message "..without fear. It's the only gay/lesbian message that I've seen in town, which isn't too surprising since Prince George is pretty small and redneck compared to, say, Vancouver.
